This wall is found in Yorktown - near the waterfront. It is really colorful and is perfect for the area.

Cool Window
Ivy Baptist Church
While attending the wedding of one of my co-workers, I found myself staring at this really cool window at the church service. I don't know if you would call this stained glass - but the art was really eye catching.

Color Tunnel
French Loop (Yorktown National Battlefield)
Another peak day of color was found on the Yellow Tour Road at the Yorktown Battlefields. As I drove along the historical drive, the only sounds heard were leaves falling to the ground and the gentle swish as the wind pushed the trees to and fro. What a beautiful scene.

More Fall Color
This photo was taken along the Historical Tour Road. The same area that was populated by Revolutionary War Soldiers during the Siege of Yorktown. At about the same time of year, they sure had colorful scenery!
I Love Yellow Trees!
They're Here
Finally, the fall burst of color has hit Hampton Roads. Stay tuned to see some more photos of the leaves changing before they drop!

Standing Tall
This morning was a day to say goodbye to Scott Kinnison. He lost his fight with Brain Cancer. "Brain" was one of the guys that everyone loved - he was a great man. Below, Ladders One and Three stand tall to hold the colors marking the entrance to the memorial service. What an honor it was to be there.

Fall Color - At Last
One of my favorite times of the year comes when the leaves start to change color. You can find me all over Hampton Roads with a camera .... getting good shots. This photo was taken at the Newport News reservoir off of Oriana Road.

Halloween 2011
Happy Halloween.
This year, Nick was a Zombie Ref while Eleni was a crazed with vampire. The kids cleaned house ... I bet they pulled in 20lbs of sweets (just what we need).

A Windmill in Yorktown??
Yep, you read this right. Yorktown now has it's own windmill. If you are ever in that neck of the woods, stop by the Waterman's Museum at Riverwalk and you will find this fully functioning piece of machinery.

Fall Colors Are Coming
While they are not in full swing yet, the changing of the leaves is due any time. This photo was a couple of years ago while hiking the Appalachian Trail with Kevin and Nick.

Bike Tour
Norfolk Botanical Gardens
During the summer we learned that Norfolk's Botanical Gardens allows bikes on certain days. Eleni and I put our bikes in the truck and gave the place a quick look see. Armed with a camera, we had a great time!
Marine Six
Marine-6 is our department's current fire & rescue boat. The craft is due to be replaced in the near future with a state of the art vessel. It will be the sister boat to the Carl Brashear (NNFD).
